Types Of Screens
Wire Cloth Screens
This is a heavy duty screen used on the top deck of our Scalper 107T, Scalper 107D and 612T/612W Trommels for rough screening applications. For crushing applications the grizzly screen comes on the 5256T Impact Crusher, the JXT Jaw Crusher and the 4043T Impact Crusher. These are made from 1 steel and vary in size from 4" to 6" (10.1 cm - 15.2 cm) spacing.
This is a steel plate screen used on the top decks of Scalpers such as the 107T for rough screening of materials. Holes typically are hexagonal, circular or square, but also can be made to any customer requirements. Typical sizes range from 3" to 6" (7.6 cm - 15.2 cm) opening.
This is used when a soil like product contains a lot of roots or stringy material. Finger screens cascade on top of one another, never allowing material to clog on the screen. These are commonly used on the top or bottom decks of conventional screening machines such as the Developer or Producer in applications like compost, landfill material or mulch.
This is a straight wire slotted screen that is tensioned from both ends. This screen has no cross members to hang up material. Its openings are long narrow slots. The wires allow for some vibration, which increases production. These are best used in dry screening applications. They are typically 3/4" (1.9cm) opening or smaller and are used in the bottom decks of shaker screens only.
