The welder is responsible for operating and maintaining welding equipment to fabricate machinery frames and components.  You will cut and join metals and other materials to put together mechanical structures or parts with precision.  This position reports directly to a Welding Lead, and indirectly to the Plant Manager.


  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and other verbal or written instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate equipment and products
  • Operate welding equipment, as well as forklifts and overhead cranes
  • De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
  • Follow all safety rules and lockout tagout procedures for tool and machine operation
  • Perform quality checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
  • Rework and/or repair equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Keep tools and equipment properly maintained, identify areas of process improvement
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times


  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification or additional training in welding preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other diagrams
  • Knowledge of proper lockout/tagout and other safety procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fabrication methods
