Mechanical Assembler


The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for mounting and installing component mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and structural parts on product line equipment.  Work will be performed in a team environment with other assemblers, with the objective of meeting specified timelines for machine completion.  This position reports directly to an Assembly Lead, and indirectly to the Plant Manager.


  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials and other verbal or written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • Operate various hand and pneumatic tools, as well as forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Follow all safety rules and lockout tagout procedures for tool and machine operation
  • Perform quality checks during process and coordinate with Engineering when problems arise
  • Keep tools and equipment properly maintained, identify areas of process improvement
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times


  • Able to operate or use a variety of hand, power and air tools
  • Able to read and understand basic blueprints and drawings
  • Willingness to work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, loud noise (hearing protection provided and required) and vibration.  Work involves climbing ladders and working in cramped quarters at times
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
